The Middle Georgia Archives’ stereographs collection was meant to be viewed using stereoscopes to entertain the public of the 19 century with the illusion of 3d scenes.

We used modern technology to bring this magic alive. You can choose viewing options with or without the viewing glasses to reanimate these vivid photos of the old times. We present here only a glimpse of the huge set of stereograph holdings and invite the public to visit, search and value the treasures of the community's past hidden at the Middle Georgia Archives.

This exhibition is a part of the Digital Community Heritage Project executed by the Jefferson Institute (www.jeffersoninst.org) and funded by the Knight Foundation (www.knightfoundation.org).
